Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hai Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. She began her career in the late 1980s, and rose to popularity with her role in the Tezaab film, in which she was a part of the cast alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. Then she appeared in the movie Dil in which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. As a child, the Mumbai-born dancer began studying at a very early age. In her early years, when she first started to act as a child actress, most films she created did not succeed. The actress gained fame and was one of the top movie actresses. Her marriage led to a pause from her acting career. She returned later. In recent times, she was in a major role on the film Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women across India. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India - was given to Dixit. She has also been recognized by the field of social work.
