Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. The majority of her early years listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes and old classical pieces. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other theatrical performances. At age 16 she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. When she moved from Mexico to the United States in 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. The passion and love she has for music, art, and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation to keep this tradition alive.
